Leadership

Senior Pastor & First Lady

Pastor Armando P.  Jackson, Sr. Pastor &  Deaconess Delvita L.  Jackson

In 1986 Armando and Delvita’s third son Joseph was on his death bed with Spinal Meningitis (Streptococcal Meningitis). Feeling desperate, Armando cried out to the Lord to heal his son.  If so, he would do anything The Lord asked, even though he did not know the Lord at that time. God healed his son and Armando gave his life to the Lord, which lead to a radical transformation.  His son’s illness was used to change his heart and seek the Lord.   After a few years, the inception of Agape Community Church came into existence.  For which we were a part, Armando and Delvita joined the church under the leadership of Pastor George A. Todd. In 1989 Armando studied under Pastor Todd and others who helped in his growth in the faith. Pastors Willie and Jewel Jackson, Apostle Neighbors, Minister Garcia, Apostle Randy Granith, Pastor Ray Paul and others.     A fire was lit that burns for the Lord to this day.

Armando became a Deacon at Agape Community Church and in a few years with much hesitation accepted the call to the Ministry and was licensed in 1993 and in 1995 was Ordained as a Minister. Over the years Armando has taught various Sunday School classes.  Children's Sunday School, High School age, Young Adults, and the Adults.  He has taught Bible Study for Young adults and adults including many years participating in Vacation Bible Schools performing dramatic skits.   Armando also acted in a number of plays that were produced by Pastor George A. Todd and Patricia (Pat) Carter (Todd –Carter Production) within Agape Community Church and, additional productions outside of the church with church member Ron Jennings.

After being employed for 38 years in the Aerospace Industries with employment at Rockwell International and The Boeing Company, Armando retired.  Armando is a member of the Agape Pastoral staff and was an assistant Pastor for three years before being elevated to Senior Pastor in June 2021.  Armando’s favorite scriptures are: Psalm 34, Psalm 37 and Psalm 91.
