Our Story

How it all started...

Dr. George A. Todd, Jr.,  Founding Pastor
The oldest of six children, Pastor Todd graduated from High School, with honors, in 1971 and received a scholarship to Howard University in Washington, DC. Pastor Todd married his high school sweetheart Donna Sims, in June 1974.
He joined the U.S. Air Force, and while he was stationed on Guam, he accepted his call to preach in 1981.
Pastor Todd attributes his success to his faith in God, support he receives from his family, hard work and to his passion for making a difference in the lives of people. With 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Todd specializes in counseling, preaching, serving the community, motivational speaking, writing plays and composing music.
Pastor  Todd received his Th.d in 2005 and his Master of Divinity in 2004, from Master’s International School of Divinity. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies in 1986, from Simmons College of Kentucky. In 2008, he became an Ordained Bishop. After 30 years of faithfully serving our congregation, Bishop Dr. George A. Todd, Jr., retired, honorably, July 1, 2019.

Expanding the vision...

OUR GOAL IS to  provide a spiritual environment where we can preach the Gospel to the poor and worship God in spirit and in truth.
To help facilitate the healing of the bruised, the abused, feed the hungry and clothe the naked both physically and spiritually.

Where we are headed...

To build a bridge to the community through loving service and the training of the body of Christ at becoming experts in human relations.
To train and prepare people to be witnesses of Jesus Christ as local, urban, and world missionaries.
To love the people God sends to us through the Holy Spirit with agape love (unconditionally).
